VENETIA PHILIPPS

STUD MANAGER

Venetia Philipps grew up amongst Europe’s leading stud farms and racing stables in Newmarket where she gained valuable experience in and education about the bloodstock industry. In 2007 she travelled to Wyoming USA to further her horsemanship and following several years in Southern and East Africa, she settled in Kenya in 2010. Since Sirai Stud was established in 2012, Venetia has been responsible for the breeding and welfare of its horses. She has gained valuable equine breeding experience at Utrecht University in Holland with Professor Tom Stout and at Sharjah Equine Hospital in the UAE with her mentors, Professor Twink Allen and Dr Sandra Wilsher. After 8 years of tuition from Twink, Venetia received a certificate in Equine reproduction training and competence in Artificial insemination and Embryo transfer.

Stud Staff

Many of the grooms and other staff at Sirai Stud have been here since the stud’s inception in 2012. They are an excellent and caring team, skilled at preparing the horses to the highest standards. The stud prides itself on faultless turnout and obedient and contented horses.
